Summary:
Communication Team Leader serves as a central telephone communications source for the hospital.
Oversees and leads a team of employees by communicating UNC Health Nash goals, safety practices, and deadlines to the Communications team.
As a Team Leader, motivates team members, assesses performance, and provides assistance to the Communications Supervisor to include, but not limited to hiring new employees, training employees, and keeping the supervisor updated on the team's performance, communicating any concerns to the supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Directs incoming and outgoing calls and assists callers via regular telephone lines, medical answering service lines, and TDD lines.
Locates individuals or transmits messages through pages, beepers, dial paging, direct calling, radio, and intercom announcements.
Monitors various alarm systems and performs central communication functions during drills, emergencies, and codes.
Serves as a Team Leader Maintains required documentation.
Operates equipment and maintains work areas.
Acquires age-specific knowledge necessary to provide appropriate level of service and communications.
Takes an active role in self-development.
