Job Description Medical - Occupational Health & Wellness - Medical Assistant Rocky Mount, NC 18Months POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES o Major
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid patient care and other activities as needed.
Perform phlebotomy; Injections.
medical surveillance testing such as audiograms, spirometry, urine drug tests and vital signs, - Demonstrates ability to develop and deliver oral and written communications effectively - Demonstrates ability to manage competing priorities and maintain consistent level of high performance - Provide occupational and non-occupational injury response, evaluation and treatment care - Provides preventive medicine and wellness services/counseling; supports site health promotion and disease prevention programs - Documents patient data in electronic medical database(s), as per standard protocols - Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented - They must be good communicators and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Qualifications ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS o This medical assistant will take day to day work direction from the RN and NP on site.
o Will interact with all members of the organization including safety, HR, supervisors and colleagues.
PHYSICAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS o No hazardous materials.
Clinic is open between 6 am - 5 pm (the MA will work 8 hours a day) o Physical demands may include pushing patient in wheelchair, CPR.
