Plans and designs manufacturing processes in industrial plant.

Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Product Engineer (AME)Responsibilities for the Product Manufacturing Engineer include:
o Develop document and train step by step method sheets and work instructions for assigned products to facilitate work cell incorporation o Ensure correct tooling and factory test equipment are available and in use for existing and new development projects.
o Support the implementation of Root Cause Corrective Actions using processes such as Corrective Action Mistake-Proofing (CAMP) o Suggest changes to Design Engineering regarding issues impacting product integrity o Support activities between Product Engineering, Operations AME, and Quality and Manufacturing Assurance team o Identify and analyze product productivity and quality improvement opportunities.
Plan, deploy, monitor and control improvement including supplier initiatives to support product and process improvements o Support Customer communication to facilitate and improve Product Quality and delivery as needed Basic
Qualifications:
o BS in Engineering Field, or Two year degree with 5 years related experienceAdditional
Qualifications:
o Experience in Mechanical Product engineering preferred o Technical Masters degree is a plus o Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing techniques and their impact on costs including continuous improvement.
Able to make decisions to positively impact operations o Knowledge, skill and experience with varied manufacturing processes is a plus o Possesses financial acumen, understands business metrics and how to impact results is a plus o Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate project status and program needs across different levels of the organization and different operating environments o People management skills via mentoring others where applicable.
Able to be a contributor on a high performance team o Able to deal tactfully and confidently with internal customers and suppliers at all organizational levels o Influence and provide leadership o Familiarity with project management skills is a plus o Results oriented, self motivated, process driven and able to demonstrate problem solving skills o Knowledge of six sigma tools and lean manufacturing systems is a plus o Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite (including EXCEL, PowerPoint, and Project)Required Skills:
