(1 to 2 Sentences) Plan, layout, construct and repair a wide variety of complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges to very close tolerances, with specialized experience with injection molds.
Responsibilities:
Plan, build and safely repair a wide variety of complex tools, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges to very close tolerances.
Read and interoperate blueprints and drawings or follow specific oral or written instructions.
Safely perform complex development work, and difficult tool room machine operations.
Determine material flow in injection molds, make tool layouts, diagnose and correct tooling problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
Apprentice program, Journeyman (desired).
Technical School, (desired).
(Alternate) Appropriate years of Experience (required).
Five years minimum work experience (desired).
Required Skills:
Ability to follow (English) oral and written instructions and ability to write.
Ability to interoperate blueprints, and must be capable of using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Basic math and technical reasoning skills.
Some technical knowledge of tool and die repair.
